How to deal with the noisy HVLS Fans

The general sound standard reaches 85 decibels and the frequency is above 3000 Hz. Everyone calls this result noise. HVLS Fans will also make different levels of noise when they are running. So how to deal with the loud noise of HVLS Fans? Over the past few years, our company has studied various methods of reducing fan blade noise, and here is a brief introduction.

Ventilation High Power Permanent Magnet Ceiling Fan

1. Change tip vortex noise reduction
During the rotation of the blade, due to the pressure difference between the tip pressure surface and the suction surface, the pressure on the pressure surface acts on the blade tip side, which results in a two-dimensional flow at the blade tip and a tip vortex. Through research on the tip vortex intensity and control methods, the tip vortex is one of the main sources of aerodynamic noise in industrial suspended fan blades. Installing "winglets" and "flaps" on the blade tips is a more feasible method of noise reduction. The "wings" at the blade tips suppress the generation of spoilers and vortices. By optimizing the shape and installation angle, the wing can capture and guide vortex airflow, weaken the intensity of the vortex, improve the dynamic performance of the blade, and reduce operating noise.
2. Connect the shock absorber and reduce the noise
Damping vibration reduction and noise reduction technology uses the characteristics of damping materials and the reasonable design of the damping structure to disperse the vibration energy of structural components to achieve the purpose of vibration reduction and noise reduction. Most of the blades of HVLS Fans adopt a hollow thin-walled structure, which can be partially or completely freely damped in the shell in the middle of the blade and away from the blade tip. The interaction of damping materials or damping structures consumes energy, attenuating blade vibration and reducing noise.
3. Change the leaf shape and string length design to reduce noise
In blade design, the chord length at the root can be appropriately reduced without affecting other properties. On the other hand, the noise produced by Hvls Ceiling Fans blades tends to increase as the blade chord increases. In order to reduce noise, the length of blade impact can also be appropriately reduced. In order to ensure that the power is not reduced, the blades are increased moderately from the middle to the middle and rear.
